Although I’m not graduating high school anytime soon, I’ve started to look at possible colleges. I don’t know what I want to major in, originally, I wanted to go to medical school. Now, I don’t know what to do.

I know I’d like to go to an out of state school in order to branch out and be a little more independent. Grades are also a huge part of me leaving this state. I have to bring up my GPA and do well on my SATs.

I don’t even know… the future’s scary. Hopefully I’ll be ready to enter the real world in time for college!

Usually I listen to whatever music I like or find. Recently, a friend of mine kept going on and on about the music from the musical Hamilton. I eventually gave in and decided to listen to it… and it’s AMAZING! The soundtrack is different and interesting, I just love it.

One artist that I’ve been getting into more is twenty one pilots. All my friends have listened to them forever and I decided to try them out. The first song I heard was heavydirtysoul, which I love. I’ve been trying to get into different types of music.

Here are some of my top artists/albums/songs:

  • Adele
  • Panic! At The Disco
  • Hamilton Soundtrack
  • twenty one pilots
  •  Taylor Swift
  • DNCE
  • Strangers in the Night by Frank Sinatra
  • The Weeknd
  • Troye Sivan
  • Kodaline
  • Bear’s Den
  • The Lonely Island
  • Sara Bareilles
  • Ed Sheeran

If you have any song suggestions PLEASE leave them below in the comments, until next time!

Even though the school year is only halfway done, I feel like I’ve been in school for ages. It is a continuous cycle of sleeplessness and stress, but I still like it.

For me, school seems like an escape from the world. In school, all my focus is aimed towards my classes and friends, I don’t have to worry about some things that are at home.

One of my greatest escapes is my theatre class. I just started theatre this year and its amazing. I’ve made new friends, pursued my love of acting, and get to let out any stress or worries I have. My teacher is a large part of why I love the class. She listens when I have problems and genuinely cares about us.

Even though my parents don’t really like me being in theatre, I still find time to do things outside of school for it. For example, I was in the school play and I had the best time.

My whole point for this post is to say that there is always something that can help you escape (in a good way, not like drugs and shit) and just relax. For me, it’s school and a specific class.

That’s it…

My birthday was this week and it was pretty fun. I celebrated with 10 of my friends at place full of jumpy castles (is that what they’re called?), I got a lot of heartfelt presents.

You know how your family is supposed to know you best? Mine apparently doesn’t really know me. While my friends gave me personal gifts, my family gave me cash and a generic card about “how much I’ve grown”.

It’s not the gifts that bother me, it’s that I thought my family knew me well, what I liked and what I didn’t. It’s a hard blow when you discover that someone you thought knew you well and genuinely remembered details about you just doesn’t.

Has anyone ever experienced that? Do tell, cause I literally feel like the only person to experience this.

Okay… how to begin?

I’ll just start with explaining why I’m starting a blog. I’m going to assume someone will read this and maybe relate(?).

For the longest time I’ve been feeling lonely (cliche, I know) and I didn’t know what to do to solve it. I follow Zoella on Youtube and go on her blog, and in the comments there are always links to blogs that seem AMAZING. That inspired me to start this.

Even if I’m the only one who reads this, at least I’ve put my thoughts out there. I’ll just say some things about me for you.

  1. I’m in high school
  2. I love Harry Potter
  3. Even though I am blessed enough to live in a nice house, I feel trapped.
  4. I’m almost always hungry
  5. I value friends over family.

Let me just explain that last one, I value friendship more because my friends have always been there for me. If my family didn’t have to take care of me, I don’t think they’d like me. I’ve always felt that because your friends chose you that that relationship is more special because you create it yourself.

Anyway… privileged rant over and time for me to log off.
